The new Jurassic World Dominion wraps up the Park and World movies. This movie takes place four years after the last movie where the volcano destroyed the Lockwood Estate incident were once extinct dinosaurs roam amongst humans.

The plot thickens when poachers take blue’s baby named Beta. Blue is from the Jurassic World movies and raised by Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) who trained her and other Velociraptors at the park. Now we find that Owen and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) have moved to a remote area to hide and take care of Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon). We also find our Jurassic Park friends; Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) is interested in locust that have been attacking farms which can potentially endanger the ecosystem. Dr. Sattler then enlists her old friend Dr. Alan Grant ( Sam Neil) to go to BioSyn the company where Dr. Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum), who now works for the company, calls his old friends there for help in regarding the locust.

Maisie and Blue are both taken by poachers who we later find out works for BioSyn, and Owen and Claire take off to find them both. Along the way, Claire and Owen meet Kayla Watts (DeWanda Wise) who is a former Air Force Pilot, and they head to BioSyn to get Maisie and Blue back. Eventually, we see both teams of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World come together to expose Dr. Lewis Dodgson (Scott Campbell) who is the CEO of BioSyn and enlisted the help of Dr. Henry Wu ( BD Wong) who created the locust but did not want to end humanity. Dr. Malcom has someone on the inside that wants to help expose BioSyn Ramsey Cole (Mamoudou Athie) who is the Head of communications of BioSyn.

This movie did things very well. It had great looking dinosaurs and dinosaur fights. The acting to me was a little flat but the story was strong enough to be believable and followed all the tropes of the previous ones, but the flow was slow at times. I did enjoy the new characters played by Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise. If there is another Jurassic movie, I hope they will be in it. I will say if you’re looking for Dinosaur fights, you will get that. It was good to see the cast from Jurassic Park, but I wish there were more interaction between the Park and World characters. If there is another one, hopefully they will correct this. Is another Jurassic movie needed? No, because this one wrapped up both movie series well. Jurassic World: Dominion should be a fun ride, but to me it was just a slow, bumpy ride to the end.

Let me know what you think of Jurassic World Dominion! Is the best one or one of the worst? Let’s discuss.
