Season 5 of the Nick Cannon hosted The Masked Singer has come to an end. This season as with others in the past has had actors, athletes and of course actual singers. As the seasons have progressed the singers on the show has been more and more surprising. This season singers were Bobby Brown, Hanson, Tyrese Gibson, Mark McGrath, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Omarion, Wiz Khalifa (he’s more of a rapper but he held some good notes), JoJo and Nick Lachey. Actors Kermit the Frog, Danny Trejo, former athlete Caitlyn Jenner and Youtuber Logan Paul. There was a special performance by host Nick Cannon who came back to the show after an illness; while Niecy Nash filled in as host until Nick was able to come back.

I’m always amazed at the costumes; they really deserve an Emmy award. The judge panelists of Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger are like family at this point; and not only tease Ken about his wild guesses, but also tease each other when someone’s guess is way off. The panelists and Nick Cannon as host is really what makes The Masked Singer a funny and entertaining show. Of course, the contestants of the show keeps the audience guessing who they are. This season for me was easy, I knew most of the contestants after the first, if not by the second performance but waiting on the panel to catch up to you is always fun.
The top 3 this season were all deserving. Most of these artists capitalize being on this show with some type of new project as they should. The Masked Singer is fun, family faire and I’m sad this season is over but looking forward to next season to see who the producers have convinced to be on this show. The Masked Singer can be seen on your FOX Affiliate channels.
